The The Hoka Highland Fling Ultramarathon is a 53 mile trail race along the famous West Highland Way Trail, starting in Milngavie (close to Glasgow) and finishing in the scenic Highland village of Tyndrum. While the Tortoises relay team were pounding the highlands Dave Ruthven took on the mammoth 53 miles full race himself, Dave finished in a cracking time of 12hrs 36 mins, well inside the 15hour cut off time  a fantastic achievement
