The results have now been posted with The Troon Ladies team finishing a very respectable 5th place from 12 other clubs, the men’s team finished 17th from an entry of 20 running clubs, individual times are on the results main page.

Saturday 18th October saw the start of the 2014 cross country season under un-seasonal blue skies at Irvine Beach Park.

Troon Tortoises were represented by a male and female team with plenty of Tortoise support in attendance on the day, with the new club tent also making its first appearance providing changing and kit facilities.

The male team was represented by Fraser Mcphail, Graeme Mckenzie, Darrell Dunscombe & Ian Mcnee,

The ladies team runners were Ann Noble, Moira Connell & Caroline Mutch.

Although the route was only just over two miles the up’s and down on the grass banks, plus running on sand gave a real tough work out , which could be seen on the face of every finisher taking part on the day !
