Troon Tortoises are pleased to announce that they are now open for new members to register to join and run with the club.
We meet at 7pm on a Tuesday and Thursday outside Marr College and also have Saturday and Sunday sessions.
Tuesday sessions include a monthly 5k time trial a great way to log improvements month on month, mile reps and a hill session (don’t worry it’s not Dundonald Hill just the train station hills around Troon).
Thursday sessions tend to be a general run night with distances from a couple of miles through to some longer mid week runs, these sessions are a great way to build up fitness ready for when events re-start.
Weekend runs are a great way to build up not only longer distances but importantly time on your feet and are often run to time, so for example we would complete a 45 minute run, then the next week a one hour run etc etc
Once you have registered your details will be used on the night for track & trace purposes along with other members you run with on the night.

We have all levels of members, from runners just starting out or returning to running through to Ultra Runners.

Current Government Guidance limits members travel to within there council area, we hope that changes in the Tier system during April will then allow for attendance for those out with the South Ayrshire boundary.
